Growth Mindset Acrostic due today!
Does your assignment satisfy the criteria below?
Success Criteria:
- I used a variety of descriptive words
- I have created an acrostic poem
- My acrostic poem uses growth mindset words
- My acrostic poem is personal to me
- My presentation is neat and inspiring for others to see
NOW for TODAY'S TASK:
Write a reflection on your acrostic and use these questions as a guide for your reflection.
- Explain why your work is important. What is the message?
- What are you most proud of? Or what would you like your teacher to notice?
- What was challenging and how did you overcome the challenge?
- What would you do differently for next time?
- Anything else you would like us to know?
When you’re finished, take a photo of the acrostic and include your reflection. Please share it to your teacher from your Google Drive.
Please double check that you name it with the assignment name first, then your name.
So for today, you will hand in as:
acrosticreflection_mrsjones (your name)
Please do this from now on, your name should always appear last and be specific on the name of the assignment - it helps us find it faster. :)
Numeracy - IXL
You were given your password/login information by your teacher this week. You can find your password in your Delta Learns account. If you have not done so already, please check here as you will not be able to log in to do IXL Math without your password.
Now that you have your password, click HERE for instructions of how to log into IXL.
Numeracy Task #1 - Choose a probability question to try on IXL.
Numeracy Task #2 - Homework Review/Corrections
Choose one day this week where you either needed to add more to your work or was not able to solve a numeracy task successfully. Look at that day’s correct solution on the tab to the right. Use that solution to help you complete your corrections.
For example, if you did not understand or get Tuesday’s numeracy problem correct, go onto the Tuesday tab under Numeracy Solutions and use it to help you do your corrections.
Show your corrections and learning (do not just copy the solution) and include an explanation of what you noticed in order to improve your work. If you do not have any corrections to do, add to one of your solutions to extend your thinking. The “Could Do” or “Want to do More” under the Numeracy task.
DPA: Last day of the Plank Challenge!
How much stronger did you get? Record your time on your chart. Take a picture of your results and share it with your teacher on the Google Drive. Please include your name and the title “Plank Challenge”. We would love to see a picture or a video of you actually doing the plank while singing your song. Optional to share.
If possible, get outside for some fresh air too! DPA should be 60 minutes and the plank is only going to take up a few of those minutes. If you can't get outside do DPA inside instead. See the DPA links on the side of this post.
FRIDAY REFLECTION
We wanted to hear how things are going. Your final task today is to please complete this quick survey on your distance learning experience at home.
Pod C's Gratitude Reflections
Last week we asked you to share three areas of gratitude for the week. We randomly chose one from each of our classes. Don’t worry if yours didn’t get chosen for today. At some point, everybody will have the opportunity to have their work show on the blog!
Can you guess who did each gratitude reflection below?
